Start Letting People You Know That You Are On The Hunt for A Job

Despite the hype of the Internet, most people do not get a job through the Internet. It is statistically impossible! At best, about 10 or 15 percent get a job as a result of the online platform.

People still rely on their contacts, family, friends, old bosses, co-workers, girlfriends, lovers, sexual partners, college buddies, drinking pals, bartenders, etc. to help them get a paycheck. You should too! You must if you want a short job hunt.

But Ex-forces Military veterans are a proud people and do no ask for help as much as they should. In the long run, if they have problems, they regret not relying on their primary networking contacts to facilitate their career tranisitions.

Three months before you are discharged is close enough to start calling around to your old contacts and within your social network. Tell them that you are getting out pretty soon and you are looking for such and such kind of job. If they hear anything, let you know.
